What will Raleigh look like in 2030?

According the an article in the News and Observer, Raleigh is expected to grow by more than 70% by the year 2030. Raleigh has been experiencing consistent growth of 2% per year and officials expect that rate to continue. Raleigh leaders have created a plan to manage the growth with transportation, monitoring pollution, and increasing parks and recreation.

Raleigh has put together a committee to map out a comprehensive growth plan for Raleigh, and hopes to be completed by early 2009. A draft of the plan is scheduled to be released for public review and criticism in October of this year.
